Greater amberjack
Its body is laterally flattened and elongated. The eyes are small and the muzzle is rounded and long, with a somewhat prominent lower jaw and a wide mouth. Its coloration is bluish on the back and silvery-white on the underside. Some specimens may have a diffuse yellow line. along the flanks. The lateral line is slightly arched anteriorly, shows no bony plates, and has 150 to 180 small scales along it. It has two dorsal fins and the anal is preceded by two spines.
